Load Limiting Clutch LLC
The Load Limiting Clutch LLC ("Überlast Schutz Kupplung: ÜSK") from
H&B protects the chains,
gearboxes and sprocket from overloads
resulting from dynamic forces due to
blockages. These forces are not transmitted, the coupling slips with an adjusted torque until the overload has disappeared. The machine continues to work without lost production. The torque can be adjusted very precisely because the difference between standing and moving friction is minimal. The load limiting clutch transfers only a limited torque and protects the machine from load peaks. The torque is transferred over a multiple disc package, which is pretensioned with a defined hydraulic pressure. By change of the pressure the transferable torque is adjustable. |
